Several investigations are conducted currently on the requirement of organizational trust for successful market operation. The constrained conceptual perception, lacking contextual applicability, and inadequate measure replication in the field of organization have been emphasized as flaws of employee behavior and trust research. To investigate trust variables that influence distinct national cultural values, the objective of this study is to enhance the framework for facilitating individual-level organizational trust and behavior to include conceptual and socio-affective factors. The 500 participants are obtained and (...) 450 participants are selected for the research with proper responses. Hypotheses are developed. There are 10 questionnaires that were conducted on the participants by utilizing 5 variables of independent (cultural adaptability (CA), national cultural values (NCV)), and dependent variables such as organizational trust (OT), employee engagement (EE), and organizational behavior (OB). The statistical analysis includes regression analysis and descriptive analyses are performed using SPSS software. The outcomes show that the OB, NCV, and OT variables are more effective and strongly influence the national cultural values of organizational behavior and trust. The study's primary conclusions emphasize the importance of organizations considering the behavioral and cultural variables by performing ideas and leadership practices and support the idea that cultural variables have a major influence on the results of the organizations. Medical confidentiality is a core concept of professionalism and should be an integral part of pregraduate and postgraduate medical education. The aim of our study was to define the factors influencing attitudes towards patient confidentiality in everyday situations in order to define the need for offering further education to various subgroups of physicians. All internists and general practitioners who were registered members of the association of physicians in Geneva or who were working in the department of internal medicine or in (...) the medical polyclinic of the University Hospital of Geneva in 2004 received a standardised questionnaire. Physicians were asked to indicate for seven vignettes whether a violation of confidentiality had occurred and whether the violation was not important, important or serious (scores 1–3; no violation = 0). 508 completed questionnaires were returned (participation rate 55%). Physicians who had worked in the hospital for more than 20 years identified violations of confidentiality more often than physicians with less hospital experience. Binary logistic regression showed that ethics education, total years of professional experience, being an internist, having a private practice, the length of working in private practice and gender were factors associated with correct identification of violations and their severity. However, each factor played a specific role only for single cases or a small number of situations (Cronbach α <0.6). Postgraduate education programs on confidentiality should be offered to a wide range of physicians and should address specific hypothetical situations in which there is a risk of avoidable breaches of confidentiality. In his account of probable reasoning, Poincaré used the concept, or at least the language, of conventions. In particular, he claimed that the prior probabilities essential for inverse probable reasoning are determined conventionally. This paper investigates, in the light of Poincaré's well known claim about the conventionality of metric geometry, what this could mean, and how it is related to other views about the determination of prior probabilities. Particular attention is paid to the similarities and differences between Poincaré's conventionalism as (...) it applies to probabilities and de Finetti's subjectivism. The aim of the paper is to suggest that in accounts of the development of ideas about probable reasoning, particularly those customarily described as Bayesian, Poincaré's discussion deserves more attention than it has so far received. As I had rejected en bloc references to Bacchanalia as indications of date, it was a mere chance which led me, after the above had left my hands, to look up Cas. 980 ‘ nunc Bacchae nullae ludunt,’ quoted in Schanz, R. Lit.3, p. 78. As this affords an excellent opportunity of testing my conclusions, perhaps a word or two will not be out of place.

In the title essay the late "spiritualist" philosopher and professor at the Collège de France, holds that suffering is in itself a morally neutral and necessary ingredient of the human condition, dependent for its value on the freely-taken attitude of the individual will. Especially noteworthy are Lavelle's non-technical and limpid descriptions of the various attitudes, negative and positive, through which suffering becomes either a debilitating or a deepening experience. More clearly Christian in perspective, the other essay, "Tous les Etres Séparés (...) et Unis" affirms that only through an extreme solitude that discovers our common source in God can a communion with others, which is neither superficial nor destructive of the separateness of morally responsible individuals, be achieved.--B. Chapters on the nature and beginnings of tragedy introduce a survey of Greek, Elizabethan, Neo-Classical, and Modern tragedy. The theoretical portions attempt to remedy Aristotle's "rather strange neglect of the philosophical and religious implications of tragedy," or "the tragic sense of life." Rather than a fresh theory of tragedy, the book presents a critical synthesis of the leading theories of cultural anthropology and psychology; of the work of the modern critics of archetypal forms and ideas ; and the "heroic humanism" (...) of critics like Cedric Whitman. After a chapter on the theory of the concrete universal, Milne discusses the moral and political views of Bradley, Bosanquet, Green, and Royce. Milne's view is that the social philosophy of Idealism is permanently valuable, the metaphysics not. The work of Bradley and Bosanquet, he argues, is weakened by unnoticed ambiguities in their conception of the concrete universal; Green's work, though more consistent, involves a fundamental error in the theory of knowledge; and there is doubt as to the consistency of (...) Royce's metaphysics with his ethics. We can develop a humanistic Idealism which will be free of the metaphysics of the Absolute and the conservative tendencies of that view, Milne says, and his expositions and criticisms of earlier views are part of his effort to do this. The theory of a scale of standards of rationality in activity, on which Milne rests his reconstruction, needs to be more clearly developed, but it is useful to have so sympathetic a discussion of this general point of view.--J. This volume of the Great American Thinkers series purports to let Thoreau speak for himself, primarily through passages quoted from his journals. Originally published in fourteen volumes, the journals represent over twenty years of Thoreau's life, and are the background and, in some cases, the original form of works more polished and more widely known. Murray has aptly considered Thoreau's wide range of thought and comment under several main headings, such as "Primacy or Purpose," "Society as Burden," and "Freedom and (...) Simplicity." In this arrangement, many of Thoreau's specific and often curt observations can be seen in a more general context, with Thoreau himself providing some of the keys to the transition.--G. B. S. C.
